Paul Zimmerman a professional user from USA writes:
Very easy to program-- I still do all my drum sequences on this machine. If I need other sounds, I just match the MIDI note number.

I still like the sound of it-- it had the most realistic ride cymbal after all those analog drum machines that preceded it. It has a heavier and warmer sound than many newer digital machines.

Still, it serves my needs today as it feeds sequences into other tone modules.

I bought the RX15 a couple of months ago for $50. All the original patterns are not in the unit. Does anyone have the original patterns on cassette? Or know where to go to find them.

got one for 25 quid...the link for a manual via "synth site" (pdf) is inaccurate...it quotes a manual for Rx15 but comes up as a manual for rx11...any suggestions lads.

ralph d a part-time user from toronto Canada writes:
I bought this new for $625 Canadian in 1986. I found it reasonably easy to program and fun to work with. By today's standard it's a dinosaur, but it was one of the first digital machines in that price range and well, I always liked the sounds. I don't think they sound THAT fake, like others claim. Hey today you can get it for a song so it's not a bad deal. You cannot edit the sounds themselves, but it has pan and accent level and individual volume. And althought the pads are not velocity sensitive, it does receive this info from a keyboard with it! After having it for so long, last week it was STOLEN. Well who the hell would steal THAT? anyhow, there are far worse machines, I think. Hi to all fellow musicionies and this is a great site!
