SU200 fix ---- Does your SU200 make loud pops and clicks when in "Loop Track Play" mode with the MIDI clock sync set to external and hooked up to an external sequencer? ---- mine does, but when I use samples that I downloaded and were lossy compressed MP3's that were compressed with an "FhG(ACM or producer pro)" MPEG-1 MP3 encoder; and then the already compressed files were coverted into wave files and loaded into my SU200; they played perfectly in "Loop Track Play" mode with with an external sequencer controlling the MIDI clock. And ever other sample I use produces pop's and clicks from the real time, time streching. ---- Even though I know the compression format I haven't been able to recreate the MP3 samples. ---- It could be just my sampler but I saw other complants on the net about this problem with the SU200. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would even buy your sampler if you can tell me how I could make samples like that. I did try a sample verison of "Audioactive" MP3 encoder software without any good results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. audiolaboratory@hotmail.com

I bought this as a first sampler, and must admit Ive had some fun with it when Ive used it portably or just thrown caution to the wind. Its very easy load in reams of stuff (Tv samples, household noises etc)and just have a blast, especially within fx mode. But abort all hope of doing so in 44k high quality sampling mode,PLEASE acknowledge the fact we're ALL narked at the popping this thing makes in loop mode and dont think this thing can handle complex loops that are likely to form the backbone of your music.I wanted to loop electric bass hooks and free up my hands to play around with the fx of said hooks...No chance.Same with good quality drum loops. Its like buying Tomys "speak and spell" to prepare you for an english degree. It also has the toy vibe...However if youre into production for the long haul I guess this thing stands up as a portable, easy to use thingybob with decent lofi fx(the ribbon controller is laughable) to use in conjuncture with your workhorse sampler. It has absolutely no sequencing whatsoever save for loop (popping) mode, nor a midi out..But somehow mines staying with me as I save up for an akai mpc,,just because you got an i-pod dont mean u throw away youre tape collection y'kno? (3 outa 5 as a second sampler)

works great for me. i have a studio that fits in a fairly small briefcase and this is an important part of it. small price for a lot of micro power AND it runs on batteries. thats a huge plus for me. all these little samplers have limitations, but this one is simple enough to use to make up for that.

This thing is seriously not that great...I heard that and I ignored it and when i found it used for $209 i jumped but returned it. I was very dissaapointed. If you dont mind 22k audio, it should be fine. My biggest gripe is that to be able to run it through effects, pitch shift it or even use the ribbon, you have to be in 22k mode. That means no clean 44.1k samples. If you do use 44.1k stereo samples you're polyphony is also cut down to like 1 or 2 and with no extras. 44.1k mode does sound amazing clean. Not even 1mb of RAM on this!!!! Seriously, there are much better options. I just wanted something battery powered but couldn't stand this. I wouldn't pay more than $75 for it. Crappy build also.

This thing is ok, for about a week. The thing is so limited compare to my older sampler. Im using a Roland JS-30. I got the SU-200 cuz it was small and had effects. And can also import WAV. The editing sucked so much ass. The Roland has so muich more as far as editing, no FX but had what i needed. I just returned it maybe getting a DX-200 or a new processor for my guitar.
