I got mine for just 100 Euros includind a bunch of midi cables; the seller even drove to my house to deliver it.
Man this is a nice box, especially for that price. It's got a lot of nice sounds, especially in the piano, string, choir and pad department. It does some great magic, airy, filmscore type sounds too. The kinda stuff you WHISH the cs2x could do.
The fx on the thing are *Very* good. It's a dated machine, but it's a quality machine and good quality never really gets out of fashion. It's one of those boxes that will find its way in to a lot of your tracks.
The filters are *very* nice on this box.

I am using a TG500 for few years now, and I still think this is a great piece of equipment. I drive it mainly with a WX7 midiSax and it is responding beatifully with all midi controlers Sounds are powerfull, clear, not too compressed, I just love it !!! There is just on thing bad with it is the midi implementation specially when using multitimbral set.

THIS IS A VERY NICE SOUNDING MODULE, LIKE THE OLD ROLAND U220, ITS SOUNDS ARE NOT TOO COMPRESSED OR OVERLY "THINED OUT" AND BECAUSE OF THIS I DONT THINK I,D EVER SELL IT, UNFORTUNATELY FOR SOME, SOUNDS DATE, AND THOUGH THE TG500S SOUND ARE LESS DATED THAN SOME, THE LESS THAN INTUATIVE EDITING SYSTEM MAKES PROGRAMMING YOUR OWN SOUND A BIT TRICKY BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLY SO.IF YOURE INTO SOUND QUALITY YOU MAY LOVE IT IF YOUR INTO FASHIONALBE/CAONTEMPORARY SOUNDS YOU MAY NOT LIKE IT. IF YOUR INTO BOTH....BUY AN EDITOR!!! IVE GIVEN IT FIVE OUT OF FIVE BECAUSE I THINK IF YOU FORGIVE IT FOR WHAT IT CANNOT DO...ITS BRILLIANT!!

I absolutely love this module. The sounds are exciting and coupled with an editor...you can do so much. The filter is a big bonus.

In short, I use the TG500 as my main multi-timbral unit. I am planning to
get a newer 64 voice unit with GM to join forces with the TG500. I think the sounds are still useful in today's music. The sample-ram feature,
once you track a chip down, and the 4 individual outs makes this unit
important. AWM2 seems to be a clean enveloping system. Like Witchfinder says, It is better than most of the newer XG modules
when it comes to sounds and flexibility. I have not heard the MU100
yet. Based on my use over time, I will probably give an official review
on this unit because it does deserve it and some of my time to do so. If you find this unit ,cheap, it's still a great investment. The PCM's may not
be as numerous as the newer modules of today but they are still quite
useful in today's sound.
