After announcing this product way back in March at the Musik Messe, Native Instruments are now shipping Kompakt, the streamlined version of thier Uber-sampler Kontakt. Shipping with a comprehensive library, it also can import the most common sample formats. Kompakt is powered by the KONTAKT engine, with it's intuitive handling excellent sound quality. The factory library contains a wide range of instruments like pianos, basses, loops, drums, guitars, strings, and more from East West and Zero-G libraries. KOMPAKT can also import KONTAKT, GigasamplerT, HALion, EXST, AKAIT, and other common formats. KOMPAKT is now available at music retailers at a suggested retail price of $199/£149.99. All KONTAKT users will be able to purchase KOMPAKT for a special discounted price.
