Now Akai Professional are safely in the folds of the Numark-Alesis family, they've been busy on a slew of new stuff, one of which being the EWI-4000S, a MIDI wind controller with 100 sounds already built-in.
It looks the part, and features a rack of mini rollers to the rear which allow you to glide up and down the octaves... apparently - so new it wasn't actually plugged in for us to hear, but we got a brief intro from Winston Eade, who rather gamely managed to mime the controller being played.
Maybe he didn't realise the cameras were still rolling ;-)
Winston blows it
So, Winston - I haven't included your moment of glory in the video... yet! But unless an MPC2500 and a crate of Jelly Babies arrive at the office pretty sharpish... ;-)
