National treasure Tom Baker has released a charity single in support of homeless children.
The download only single is a lightweight poppy cover of the Kink's classic You Really Got Me and features the text-to-speech voice of former Dr. Who popularised in recent years by his Little Britain narration and the BT text-to-speech service. The festive single costs 79p and is part of BT's TextAid charity initiative which runs from now until January 8th. During this period BT will donate 2p for every text message sent to or from a BT landline directly to SHELTER. BT aim to raise at least £100,000 to support SHELTER's work for the 129,341 homelss children in the UK. But let’s face it, kids. With the cost of calls, soaring line rental fees and no concessions for internet users why aren't BT stumping up with even more? You really got me! Merry Christmas, BT.
