Gibson Guitar has collaborated with many of the world’s most respected rock photographers including Jim Marshall, Ross Halfin, Baron Wolman, Mick Rock and Neal Preston in an amazing exhibit of some of the most remarkable photos ever to be exhibited in one place. This photographic exhibition is a world first and is designed to celebrate the power and influence both Gibson Guitar and Epiphone has had in shaping music history with the world’s greatest guitarists as caught on camera through the ages. The exhibition will exhibit 60 rare and vintage images of international artists such as Keith Richards, B.B King, Jeff Beck, Les Paul, Jimmy Page, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Chuck Berry, Neil Young, The Edge, Pete Townshend, Slash, Bruce Springsteen, Lenny Kravitz and Noel Gallagher to name a few.
Gibson Guitar has over a hundred years as one of the world’s brand leaders and the company say that this exhibition celebrates the power and influence the guitar has had in music recording and performing by leading musicians since the electric guitars creation in the 1950’s.
Both Gibson and Epiphone guitars are the stars of this exhibition offering a rare insight into many of the world’s best loved artists enjoying private moments with their guitar backstage, on the tour bus, at home or live on stage. Following the London exhibition in March 2007, ‘Gibson Through The Lens’ will travel to Paris in May and Berlin in July for before heading over to New York in September and finally Los Angeles in November to complete the journey.
