At MusikMesse 2007, AKG have been highlighting the newest addition to its Perception Series of recording microphones - the Perception 150 professional small-diaphragm condenser microphone. Providing, say AKG, the same outstanding price/performance ratio as the entire Perception family, the Perception 150 is the first in the series to be a front address model, providing yet another high quality option in recording, overhead miking and many live and broadcast applications.
With a cardioid polar pattern, the AKG Perception 150 microphone picks up less signal from the sides or rear (such as from monitor speakers or other instruments), making it well suited for recording as well as onstage use. The all-metal body aids in the rejection of RF interference, freeing the unit to be used along with wireless microphones or other communications equipment. Also featured is a switchable pre-attenuation pad allowing users to increase headroom by 10 db, preventing the microphone’s output level from overloading mixer input stages.
The Perception 150 is a half-inch diaphragm, externally biased condenser microphone that offers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Perception 150 also ships with included stand adaptor for quick and simple use.
