SONIC TALK 129 - LIVE.
This week we see the return of PJ Tracy who's been busy being a successful music writer for TV, for which he's won an EMMY, Rich Hilton - Chic member and studio collaborator with Nile Rodgers, and the first of our two Daves in the form of Dave Robinson - editor of Pro Sound News Europe and man about town, the second, Dave Spiers - hardworking synth collector from GForce Software. Dave Robinson kicks off with news of that the AES show will be coming to London next year, then Rich fills us with monitor envy as he selects a new LG 30 inch LCD, Dave tells us about the Roland System 700 sold for £20k, then we're on to this week's Big News - which couldn't be anything other than the release of Propellerhead's Record, then we're off to Stanton's Da Scratch SCS3.d MIDI controller, Rob Papen's SubBoomBass, and finally the novelty songwriting talents of Parry Gripp - YouTube's Weird Al. We finish up half heartedly on Nick's never ending quest for new drum sounds. Show Sponsors
