The Openlabs DBeat was announced at the recent MusikMesse in Frankfurt - it's a compact controller (well, compact compared with most of their gear ;-) which sports the usual touch-screen plus a host of other hardware controls and audio interface... 'a studio you can play like an instrument', as they say.

Open Labs show veteran Matthew Presley flew into London to demo the new baby, and was keen to point out that it was so portable he could carry it in his cabin luggage... which was just as well as it turned out, as the rest of his hold luggage went on walkabout and didn't arrive with him - ouch.

As well as the news they are now shipping, a new version was released at a somewhat more affordable price-point... I'll let him explain all about it in the video, and for the full skinny, you can check it out here:-
