TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has been in touch to tell us that they have been nominated in both categories of this year's Technical Excellence and Creativity (TEC) Awards. Here's how they describe their nominated microphones...
TELEFUNKEN M80
For stage and studio use, the M80 dynamic cardioid mic offers exceptional performance in a rugged package with superior feedback rejection, detailed/balanced frequency response, a smooth present sound with reduced proximity effect. Excellent for vocals, electric guitars, drums, etc., the M80 sets a new standard for live performance microphones.
TELEFUNKEN U-48
Originally designed in 1958, the TELEFUNKEN U-48 is a faithful recreation of the microphone that recorded the majority of the Beatles vocals at Abbey Road Studios. Featuring a TELEFUNKEN VF-14k tube and faithful recreation of the original M-7 capsule the U-48 sounds like no other microphone in its class.
