This video is a demo of another interesting project coming out of a Music Hack Day event, this weekend's 2011 NYC Music Hack Day.

The video demos Follow The Music - an app that takes live audio, processes it with a score-following algorithm, and then publishes via the Web so that the score can be displayed on a computers and mobile devices.

At this point, the app is a hack - but it's easy to imagine how this could be useful for performers or for music students.
