A band from Seattle will now be known as the BuyStock.net band, after selling their band name to the highest bidder. BuyStock.net paid $251,100 to own the name of the band, in an unprecedented move in the music industry.

Opinions seem split down the middle as to whether this is a stroke of pure genius, or a nail in the coffin of rock and roll spirit. However, it can't be denied that the move was great PR stunt, which the band have jumped on by releasing their first single as a free download on... BuyStock.net
