Donald Fletcher has announced an update to Symphonix Evolution - an iPad app for composing, recording and playing music, with an emphasis on traditional music notation. 

This video demonstrates some of the new features in version 1.8 of Symphonix Evolution, including a new "Notation Entry" panel that allows common symbols to be dragged easily into the music notation, support for new symbols (including pedal, coda and segno) and new MIDI capabilities.

Symphonix Evolution is US $12.99 in the App Store. Version 1.8 has been submitted and is in queue to be approved.
