Battle Other Guitarists Online With AxBattles

A new website has recently gone live, allowing guitarists a number of features, including the ability to lay down the gauntlet and battle each other with classic riffs. Here's all the info from the site:

Ax Battle's newly released website for real guitar players pits Battlers head to head. Players upload videos of themselves and challenge other users to battles on the most popular classic rock songs. http://www.axbattles.com

In this newly released Guitar website, Battlers aim to achieve Guitar Guru status by winning in each of the 50 songs. A win is determined by the voters on the site. A guitar player can encourage their social media connections such as Facebook friends and Twitter followers to vote their way. Unlike Guitar Hero, real guitar players use their own guitars and equipment.

Ax Battles.com was founded in August 2010 by Jesse Newman and Kristi Day. It offers a 50 songs play list and 10 levels. The AxTv channel,http://www.axbattles.com/axbattlestv, has 60+ HD Guitar Lesson videos. Guitar Tab, Backing Tracks and HD Guitar Lesson Video are available on every song. The initial reaction to Ax Battles has been very strong and positive.

"We wanted to create a place for the guitar community to gather," says founding partner Jesse Newman. "There are so many great guitar players that need a opportunity to expose themselves as active musicians in the community and on the scene, AxBattles is their new conquering ground!"
