Guns N' Roses And Red Hot Chili Peppers Go Head To Head

The nominees have been announced for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class-of-2012, and the hot favourites have been revealed as Guns N' Roses, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Other nominees include Heart, Joan Jett, The Faces, The Spinners, Freddy King, The Cure, and The Beastie Boys.

The winners will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 14th 2012. Fans of Guns N' Roses will be hoping that the band wins entry into the Hall Of Fame, and that they might follow in the footsteps of bands such as Led Zeppelin, who settled their differences to perform at the ceremony.

Slash has always maintained that he would discuss the possibility of a reunion, if Axl Rose were to phone him and apologise. However, Axl Rose has always denied any talk of a reunion, commenting on his Twitter:

"Contrary to anyone's claims there are no concrete plans, nor were there ever for a tour and certainly not to replace anyone in the band, beyond a collection of random ideas thrown out by various individuals without any real foundation."
