Korg has announced the TMR50 Combo Tuner, Metronome and Recorder. It offers full-featured tuner and metronome functions that can be used separately or simultaneously. For practice and capturing riffs or song ideas, the TMR50 is also equipped with a built-in mic and speaker, high-quality linear PCM recording functionality and a USB port for transferring recordings to a computer. A large, backlit LCD plus bright guide LEDs offer visual feedback that's easily visible under stage lighting or at home.
Korg says that the tuner and metronome section includes robust capabilities that help players improve their sense of pitch and rhythm. Sound Out Mode provides three octaves of audio pitches, enabling simple and accurate tuning by ear. Sound Back mode plays back the note closest to the pitch that's detected for embouchure and pitch training. The metronome section provides multiple rhythm patterns and nine time signatures for a versatile array of practice options. Pricing and Availability:
TMR50 will be available September 2012, with a U.S. Street Price of $79. More information:
