Following on from our X32 review, Behringer has been in touch to tell us that the digital mixer has received the ultimate industry recognition in the form of a TEC Award nomination under the Small Format Mixer category. They say that, already shattering sales records with over 20,000 units sold since its introduction on July 27 this year, the X32 is credited with rewriting the value proposition of digital mixing and processing. Independent industry statistics show the X32 has already become the most successful digital console after only two months of availability. Never before has this much power, usability and scalability been so affordable and easy to use.
Company founder and CEO, Uli Behringer told Sonic State, "I am personally humbled and honored on behalf of our entire team to have the X32 recognized in this way by our peers in the industry. We set out four years ago not only to create an incredible product but also to transform our business by investing massively in research and technology to become a true innovator. The X32 is a result of the collaboration between world-class Digital engineering teams in Germany and the UK and many of our dedicated team of 250 engineers worldwide. It is immensely gratifying to see the results and none speak louder than this esteemed recognition from the TEC Foundation. I would like to dedicate this nomination to all of our amazing people inside the MUSIC Group and commend them for this state-of-the-art product."
Conceived and developed by the BEHRINGER Germany team, the X32 also features technology developed and implemented by fellow MUSIC Group company MIDAS engineers in the UK.
Since 1985 TEC Awards have recognized excellence in both Technical and Creative achievements within the audio, video, music and other communication media arts. Administered by the non-profit TEC Foundation for Excellence in Audio, the awards are decided by a broad spectrum of industry professionals and presented at a gala evening event during the annual Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. This year's awards will be presented on Friday, January 25, 2013.
