We like pretty things with coloured lights on and the new Numark Orbit controller ticks all the boxes for us. This ia a new 2.4mHz wirelesss controller that sends its MIDI back to the host computer and in turn to control the software of your choice.

As well as the coloured buttons - you can specify form RGB values, you get a large rotary encoder and a  two axis accelerometer.

Numark are punting it at the DJ side, but for general MIDI control its going to be a neat unit too.

The buttons are just regular on/off, there's no touch sensitivity or pressure, but you can still have a lott of fun unfettered from the USB cable.

Available Spring 2013 at around $99.
