We are reviewing a Boss pedal every day for a month in March, and today, on day 21, it's the turn of the Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble, which is like a souped up version of the Super Chorus, although it packs in much more EQ control than the Super Chorus.
We're looking at 30 pedals this month, and then on the final day of March, we'll be doing a round up of our favourites. The idea being that you can quickly watch our bitesize reviews and compare one Boss pedal to another, and quickly see if you like the sound.
Rich's verdict - "Boss just 'get' chorus, I like both of their chorus pedals, but I prefer the CE-5 Chorus Ensemble over the Super Chorus. It's a rich chorus sound which has far more presence in the high end than most chorus pedals out there. It's versatile, practical, and it can either be subtle, or totally bonkers. It works really well on distortion sounds, which is where a lot of chorus pedals can fall down, and will give your high gain tone an 80s laden tone which will instantly make you grow long hair and buy a Super Strat."
RRP - £95.00
