We are doing a bitesize review of a Boss pedal every day for a month, and today it's the turn of the Boss RC-3 Loop Station - a compact looper in a box, offering ability to download backing tracks into the stomp, and record multiple layers of guitar parts (or pretty much any instrument for that matter).

We're looking at 30 pedals this month, and then on the final day of March, we'll be doing a round up of our favourites. The idea being that you can quickly watch our bitesize reviews and compare one Boss pedal to another, and quickly see if you like the sound.

The Boss RC-3 Loop Station can store up to 99 loops, has three hours of recording time, has tap tempo, rhythm tracks, metronome and USB 2.0 allowing you to import and export audio.

Rich's verdict - "The features packed into the Boss RC-3 Loop Station are incredible when you think about it, with new technology getting smaller and smaller, there's every likelihood we might see an even more action packed model in the near future.

"If you're looking for a looper you can use for rehearsal, songwriting, and for performance, then the RC-3 is a really good all-rounder. It takes a bit of getting used to, in terms of getting the best out of it, you need to have quick feet when controlling it.

"But after a couple of hours, it will feel pretty easy to use."
