With the Roland Connect launch date today (see our FA06 preview video), they are rather monopolising the news. This one is outside that launch though - not like Roland to do teaser videos, but I would say this is exactly what this is. Described as the evolution of the TR-808, it starts with a brief introduction and chat with the inventor of the classic TR-808 drum machine, we're then left with the thought that "its time to take the next step"  - so I think we must assume something big is coming.

The video description is as follows:

Roland Engineers discuss the initial concept of the TR-808 which was conceived and built in 1980.
Although it was designed to create "backing tracks", creative musicians started to use the Rhythm Machine as an instrument and music changed forever.
Now the evolution begins again.

Any ideas?
