Focusrite has announced the launch of Saffire PRO 26 - the latest addition to their range of Saffire PRO FireWire/Thunderbolt compatible* audio interfaces. Here's the details in their own words...

Ideal for both studio recording and live performers, Saffire PRO 26 builds on four decades of audio excellence to provide a comprehensive 18-in, 8-out, 24-bit/96kHz audio interface with four Focusrite mic preamps. Combining world-class audio design with Saffire's extremely flexible Mix Control software, Saffire PRO 26 delivers professional sound quality, versatile routing options and rock-solid reliability.

Like all Saffire interfaces, Saffire PRO 26 connects seamlessly to a Thunderbolt port via a FireWire to Thunderbolt adaptor (not included) or directly to a FireWire 800 port with the cable provided. Its dual-protocol compatibility (Firewire and Thunderbolt) means it will work seamlessly for years to come with the next generation of computers.
