Gibson introduces the Explorer Blackout   19-Nov-14

Sinister Rock Machine

Gibson has introduced the Explorer Blackout, which they describe as a sinister rock machine. A spokesperson had this to say,

"Hit one detuned power chord on the Explorer Blackout and you're likely to dim the lights for several blocks around the venue. A pair of Dirty Fingers pickups put some of Gibson USA's most powerful humbuckers beneath your fingertips, while the all-black esthetics and radical Explorer styling complete a guitar that can walk the walk just as fiercely as it talks the talk. Select mahogany for body and neck ensures rich tone and sustaining resonance, with a SlimTaper neck for unparalleled Gibson playing speed. Dial in the looks with a down-swept, six-a-side Explorer headstock, a black-bound fingerboard with split-diamond inlays, black-chrome hardware and black Speed Knobs, and the Explorer Blackout Limited Run is the most sinister axe on stage or in the studio. Each guitar comes protected in a Vintage Brown Gibson Hardshell case."
