Back at NAMM we visited the Expert Sleepers stand to check out the new FH-1 module. This is an 8HP Eurorack module that allows you to directly connect a USB MIDI controller to your modular.

You can also use an iConnectivityMIDI box to connect an iPad or a computer.

In its plainest form the FH-1 can be used for direct control of CVs with MIDI CCs, but as well as this you also have access to LFOs on each output, Step sequencers, Polyphonic MIDI/CV conversion, and much more.

Lets face it, we have all got the odd MIDI controller sitting in a drawer somewhere not doing much now we have a modular. So it is great that now we can pull it out of the drawer and use it in new and exciting ways.
