Positive Grid has announced the release of BIAS Amp Standalone - guitar amp modeler and designer for Mac and PC. They say that, previously released as a desktop plug-in, BIAS Amp now allows musicians to use it as a fully functional standalone application, without the need of a DAW or any other software. In addition, BIAS Amp adds MIDI and automation support for pro standalone version, giving users real time control over the parameters of each amp. A spokesperson had this to say...

"BIAS Amp is the world's most accurate, thorough and versatile guitar-amp modeler and designer app for Mac/PC. It allows users to virtually design their own amp component by component, Amp Match any real amp in the world to accurately capture its tone, plus share and download thousands of amp match models from ToneCloud. Furthermore, now BIAS Amp features a new Amp Match module that allows users to match their favorite amps in a friendlier and more intuitive way, without the need to do complex audio routing in a DAW."

Pricing and Availability:
BIAS Amp Standalone is immediately available for $99 (Std) and $199 (Pro) in the BIAS Store, and as a free update for BIAS Amp Plug-In users.
