Sonic LAB: Build A Track With Just Ableton's Wavetable Synth

US Beats, bass and more with Simon Stokes      21/09/18

One of the new features of Ableton Live 10 is the new Wavetable Synth. It comes as part of the Live 10 Suite or you can buy it separately as an add-on to Live 10 Standard.

We had Ableton Certified Trainer Simon Stokes from ShoogleStudios.com  shows us what he can do with the new synth. In this video he builds a complete track using only the Wavetable synth, lashings of Echo (the new tape emulation delay) and Convolution Reverb.

A particular favourite feature of ours was the shimmer unison - quite a unique sound.

You can download the session to see how it was put together: bit.ly/wt-stokes

But wait, there's more - Simon added another part to the piece, this time using the free Max For Live Creative Extensions  to create arpeggiator parts purely from drawn note, again with the Wavetable Synth.
