Celemony has been in touch to tell us that Melodyne 4 essential is now bundled with iZotope Nectar 3. Here’s their press release with the full details…

With its musical editing possibilities, Melodyne is the ideal companion to Nectar 3 – a dream team with which you can perfectly shape the intonation, timing, sound, and dynamics of vocals.

iZotope’s Nectar is a sophisticated set of tools designed for vocal production. From corrective to creative vocal production all the way to finish. With five new modules as well as improvements to existing modules, users can eliminate weaknesses in a recording, lend a voice depth and character, add effects and ensure vocals are perfectly placed in the mix. With Version 3, for the first time, a license for Melodyne 4 essential is included, so the most important Melodyne functions for intonation and timing are also available.

Melodyne 4 essential operates as an independent plug-in. It analyzes a vocal recording, detects the individual notes within it, and displays them graphically. You can then “grab” these notes and correct their pitch either manually or by macro, transpose them up or down, and move them laterally to any point on the Time Ruler. Notes can also be sliced, stretched, squeezed and copied. Melodyne 4 essential is simple to use and offers the same GRAMMY Award-winning sound quality as the larger Melodyne editions.

When teamed with Nectar 3, Melodyne 4 essential assumes responsibility for the editing of musical attributes such as intonation, the melodic line, timing and phrasing, whilst Nectar 3 makes further detailed sound enhancement and effect processing possible. The result is a workflow that extends from the very first correction to the final touches and is uniquely suited to vocal editing.
