Updates: Sonicstate Live Event @dBs Music Bristol 24th November


Sonicstate Live @dBS Music is coming up in Bristol UK on 24th November (a Saturday), and we now have more details of the event. 

Tickets are available in advance via Universe.com - limited numbers!

Talks in the afternoon will feature ( from 3pm sharp - running order tbc):

  • Dave Spiers - who will be bringing a classic synth with him, model TBC - currently waiting repair!
  • Adrian Utley - guitarist, synthesist  with Portishead, producer performer with his Minimoog
  • Will Gregory - Korg MS20 - - source of some of the classic Goldfrapp sounds
  • Ty Unwin - on orchestral compositions - tips and tricks  from the world of media composition- Ty will bring some of his mobile writing rig and sharing some of his techniques to get the job done.

 

Evening Performances: (approximate times):

Gaz Williams  - for some excellent vibes and fun to get us started (7pm)

Chris Calcutt - as well as his regular live setup, Chris is aiming to bring along the Arp 2600 to include in his live set. (8pm)

Battery Operated Orchestra - energy and vibe with their unique and compact setup - we're not sure its all battery powered. (9.10pm)

 

 

There are also three shorter live sets from the library - (18.40pm, 19.40pm, 20:50pm) from Liam O'Mullane AKA the TheSoundTutor and others TBC.

All live performances will be streamed via our Youtube Channel from around 6.30pm UK time
