Blue Cat Audio Updates Guitar Software


Blue Cat Audio has released an update for most of its guitar software (five plug-ins and an application), with numerous improvements and fixes. To celebrate the launch, Blue Cat Audio is offering re-introduction discounts on all the updated products.

The following products have been updated:

  • Blue Cat's AcouFiend, the feedback simulation plug-in.
  • Blue Cat's Axiom, the guitar multi-effects application and plug-in with amp simulation.
  • Blue Cat's Destructor, the distortion and amp simulation modeling plug-in.
  • Blue Cat's Hot Tuna, the universal tuner plug-in.
  • Blue Cat's Re-Guitar, the virtual guitar pickup and body replacement plug-in.

 

The update is free to existing owners and can be downloaded using the link received by email upon purchase. A special re-introduction offer is available for individual products or the Axe Pack guitar bundle until June 25th. Demo versions and videos can be found on www.bluecataudio.com.

What's New For All Software
- Reduced disk footprint.
- Mac: Fixed keyboard not responding in registration panel in some host applications (LUNA, Garage Band ...).
- Mac: Fixed demo version that could crash Logic when reloading projects using the plug-in.

What's New in Blue Cat's AcouFiend 1.01
- Fixed feedback not triggered anymore in some hosts in some particular cases (required a restart or plug-in re-insert).
- Fixed feedback effect not 100% repeatable when bouncing tracks in some hosts (Audio Unit or VST3 formats).

What's New in Blue Cat's Axiom 1.41
- New high-resolution graphics for knobs and sliders.
- Updated Re-Guitar built-in plug-in to version 1.1.
- Fixed several issues with hosted plug-ins bypass (graphical glitches, untriggered bypass ...).

What's New in Blue Cat's Destructor 1.52
- New high-resolution graphics for knobs.
- Improved impulse response convolution performance (long reverb tails are now supported, with low CPU usage).
- Mac: faster GUI rendering on recent Mac OS systems (up to 5x faster).
- Mac: fixed user interface not properly shown on retina displays in some applications built with the 10.14 Mac OS SDK (Cubase 10.5 or Logic 10.5 for example).
- Mac: fixed settings panel rendering issues in dark mode on Mac OS Mojave and newer.

What's New in Blue Cat's Hot Tuna 1.01
- New high-resolution graphics for knobs.

What's New in Blue Cat's Re-Guitar 1.1
- Added a button to center the map on the cursor when zoomed-in custom pickup and custom acoustic modes.
- New high-resolution graphics for knobs.
- Mac: fixed user interface not properly shown on retina displays in
some applications built with the 10.14 Mac OS SDK (Cubase 10.5 or Logic 10.5 for example).
- Mac: fixed settings panel rendering issues in dark mode on Mac OS Mojave and newer.
