What Happened To The LinnDrum II?

US Noir Et Blanc Vie Great Synth Mysteries      16/07/21

Noir Et Blanc Vie makes a series called Great Synth Mysteries where he charts the path of an undiscovered or long forgotten synth. In this episode he investigates the LinnDrum II - a follow up to the iconic version 1 used by Prince and countless others. He takes us back to 2007 when Roger Linn began showing the LinnDrum II, detailing its development and speculating on what happened through significant research.

He explains: The reason this story worked was because I was lucky enough to find a solid storyline using Internet Wayback Machine, so the research took FOREVER. (Plus, new interviews gave me better insights) I'll probably do 1 of these a year going forward, but these are by far my favorites. I'm a story teller, and this (while it takes sometimes a dang year) is the ultimate rush for brain like mine who needs to tell a compelling story.
