Chainsmokers To Become First Band In Space

The Chainsmokers are multi-million-selling Grammy-award-winning duo from New York. They're set to be the first band to perform in SPACE, going up in a pressurized container tethered to a stratospheric balloon to perform almost 20 miles above Earth! The feat makes them the first musical artists to perform at the edge of space, said Ryan Hartman, chief executive officer at fledgling space tourism company World View, to The Associated Press. the duo have said:

"We have always dreamed of going to space and are stoked to collaborate with World View to have this adventure and experience. We know the views of both Earth and space are going to be incredible and inspiring and we hope to leverage this flight for creativity on future projects."

It's a formidable feat, for any band - taking them into the history books, a stratospheric rise (I'll get my coat!). World View have said that the band will be on one of the company's first flights penned for 2024. They will record their performance from inside the capsule and share to fans across the world.

Exciting stuff!
