NAMM 2023: Tape It - iOs App

US App to streamline your phone musical sketches      16/04/23

We met Thomas from Tape It who introduced us to Tape It, an iOS app designed to help musicians and songwriters record their latest song versions and loads of ideas on their phone. It's designed to be a simple recorder, not studio software, with improvements that make life easier when using your phone to record musical ideas. One improvement is the ability to start recording from the lock screen, and the app also offers markers to help with organization and long recordings.

The library organization is one of the features Tape It has improved, showing the waveform and an instrument icon next to each recording, the instrument being detected automatically through AI. Tape It also functions as a music player that integrates with the lock screen, media center, and airplay support. Other features include the ability to attach photo or text notes and organize recordings into mix tapes.

Free version on the app store, with the full version price: 100 USD

Subscription: 6 USD per month / 50 USD per year
