Gearfest UK 2023: PMC Speakers

US Big Speakers Small Space Big Sound      20/07/23

We spoke to Phil Millross from PMC Speakers at Gear Fest 2023, where he showcased the new series of PMC Pro monitors. The flagship model, the PMC8-2 XBD, and the smaller PMC6 are part of this high-end studio range. These monitors feature PMC's advanced transmission line technology, which extends the frequency response and improves mid-range frequencies. The PMC8-2 XBD offers impressive base extension down to approximately 20Hz, while the PMC6 goes down to around 39Hz. The modular design allows for additional bass enhancement with the matching subwoofers, such as the 8 sub or the 8.2 sub. The monitors incorporate digital circuitry for shaping and optimization, with negligible time delays, providing a precise and immersive sound experience. The PMC Pro monitors range in price from £5,100 to £24,950 per pair.
