When it comes to adding punch to your tracks, there are all kinds of compression, expansion, and distortion techniques which will do the trick - but how about using MIDI? In this video, James Wiltshire of F9 Audio shows a neat and simple trick, using Ableton's Envelope MIDI device. He's also offering a free rack device which behaves like a dynamic EQ.
