Scanner on the Southbank Show

US 1997 program on his approach and methodology      22/03/24

Robin Rimbaud aka Scanner has just shared an excerpt from the South bank Show, originally broadcast in 1997. During this period he was using a Lowe AR300E radio scanner, with an Akai S1000 sampler and  Roland JV-1080 synthesiser module. Here's more from Robin:

This was originally broadcast on ITV in the UK in 1997, featuring an interview with Robin Rimbaud (Scanner) talking about his approach and methodology at the time, where his body of work was focusing on the indiscriminate signals found in the airwaves, which he utilised within his ambient work.

His outboard gear consisted of mostly an Alesis Quadraverb and Behringer Composer Compressor.
