This machine is inline with many other similar type soft boxes out there right now (Hammerhead, Fruity Loops, etc). Nothing really puts it ahead of the others however. Same 909 samples as most machines like to have, same step/pattern/song interface, but there is no wave writing capabilites yet, which is common on other units. One major drawback is that the timing of playback sometime gets off or jumbled somewhat if you pull down menus etc. while playing. Alot of potential for improvement. The guy seems dedicated enough. Comments About the Sounds:
The samples it uses are the standard 909ish samples... but since alternate drumkits can be loaded via DLLs, there are lots more possiblities. There isnt yet a sample DLL creation tool for this machine as far as I could tell.
