A fun box - my first rack unit (even when it's only half rack): at the time they were selling for 800 Dutch Guilders (approx 300 usd) and it was the cheapest one could find. Since it's a mid/late eighties thing, it's limited in possibilities, but that makes it very direct to operate. Each section has only four parameters - all conveniently printed on the top side of the unit. It does your average long/short reverb, long/short delay, gated reverb and a few other tricks. No modulation effects a a very thick grainy sample quality.

For some reason I keep using it for delays and as an ambience delay, even when the present Alesis/Boss/Digitech brigade has better sound quality, more possibilities en endless more flexibility. So yes: I like it and I'm sure it won't have a great second hand value, so I'll keep it!

Picked mine up on ebay for $10. Played with it for a few weeks. It's nice that the parameters are all tweakable, something I missed in my Alesis MidiVerb II, but that was about all I could say. Tinny and small. Send it a few clicks and you'll see what I mean. Totally worth $10, but not worth the $50 I sold it for. That money was put towards the incomparably better Alesis MidiVerb 4.

Yes I do agree that you should pick this up cheap or not at all but if you do come across one at the right price then get it because it's a breeze to use. The reverbs are too old and digital for me but it's delay capability makes it worth it alone. It's real easy to set up nice l/r bouncing stereo delays with its independant left delay time / right delay time controls, great to add a bit of movement behind your hats or bass or whatever. I've used R100s for years and always patch them in when I need a simple stereo delay and I don't fancy using a multi FX unit and stepping through 7 pages on an LCD just to get to the TIME parameter. Buy one when you see one, in fact buy two!!
