? OH man , I have stumbled upon this wicked awesome unit, I was just curious about the price... what are these things worth these days? is there something worth trading it for? i think this piece is amazing, its just that it is limited and im looking for a quality piece with more functions, but being able to change all the stuff, knobs and things, i've never seen that on any other delay/flang pedals...

ok, whoever wrote the original review was definitly on crack. the adm1024 effectronII has the following connections: input, output, repeat, bypass, and control(not 2in,2out). there is no EQ and no "digital zip" connection(???). it is not cheap either. built like a tank, these things never die. and noisy? its 25 years old and quieter than alot of new delays on the market. it has an infinite loop feature and freq mod. a true classic and a must have for any studio.

I don't know what the original reviewer was smoking, or even if he's actually used an Effectron, but the Delta Labs pieces are highly-sought for a reason. Yes, it only does delay effects (echo, flange, chorus, loops), but everything is editable in real-time on the front panel. Yes, it's a little noisy and lo-fi, but it's got a certain charm, usefulness, and musicality that many modern DSP units lack. They're also built like a tank. They were early 80's units, and many are still in excellent condition or can be easily restored. I wouldn't trade mine for anything.

I think the Effectron II can be very powerful when used correctly. Its very warm (fuzzy as well). I like tweakin my delays on the fly, don't like numbers, this piece is perfect for that. Also, dig the "infinite repeat" button, it turns it into a sampler on the fly. If anyone has one for sale I would be very interested in purchasing it.
