I´ve got a rare problem about the audiophile 2496. I´m working it on Win98, and it goes well, but I´ve tried to change my OS to Win XP, and that´s when starts the problem... I run Logic 5.0 and I load the Logic example (ES2, ES1, etc...). The System´s resources is over 75% on audio (and starts to pop and click). I have to still working on WIN98 (I miss latency=0 ms). Could someone tell me what I have to do to make that my system works good on WIN XP ??? THANK YOU on advance (Sorry about my english).

I've got mine running on a p4 sys with cubase SX. Ran like a dream from the word go - no problems at all, great low latency (especially for the price). No complaints about the sound quality - although i can't say too much about it as i haven't recorded much into it through a decent microphone.

I have recieved a reply from M Audio, regarding clicking and popping problem. With certain computer configurations, the card must not be on IRQ 9 or 11, and it must not share an IRQ setting with another device. My card is locked to share with the USB port on IRQ 4, so While the problem is fixed (no popping anymore), my USB port must be disabled if I want the card to work properly. I hope this helps some of you with the same problem. My next step is to sort this out (I'll get back here if I do) or buy a new Motherboard and processor, which i wanted to do anyway.
Apologies for this not being a review, but since many seem to have had similar issues, i thought this was the most appropriate place to post the information.
This card gets an 8 from me, deducting 2 marks for the amount of hassle I've had to get it (not quite yet) working.
Pristine audio quality. Very good converters. Good practical software bundle and a fair price.
