been mixing for almost 20 yrs and i only trust ns10s. Cant mix w/out it.Though i have 4 pairs of spkrs in my mixing room, but i start my mixing session on ns10's. Sometime i start mix w/ auratones. My other 2 pairs is just clients playback.

I've had my NS10M's for over 20 years. I had the dealer fuse the tweeters, as the earlier models were notorious for frying same. As for the toilet paper wars, it still makes me laugh. That's what the grills are for. Yamaha doesn't put tuning fork logos on it's motorcycles because it came late to the music biz. Never had a problem, and they do what they do best, even against our Meyer Sound HD-1's and Westlake BBSM-12's. The 10's are always the starting point.

YAMAHA NS10M monitors: Nobody ever said they were the best sound ever...but they may well be the best nearfield monitors! They do NOT flatter your mix- they tell it like it is.
