I bought these monitors yesterday - i was little bit concerned that they wouldnt be any good becasue of all the negative reviews. Initially when i got out the box and powered them on i wasnt impressed. They just werent the same as my Wharfedale home speakers with highly exciting bass - they sounded flat - boring. How wrong was I? once i had these positioned correctly in my studio, got them at ear level - they sounded soooo good. i cant see where all these bad vibes are coming from.....I honestly beleieve that if these are you first entry into the monitor market you wont be dissapointed. Its unfair that they are put against £1000 Mackies when i bought mine for £170, about one 6th of the price, and they probably sound 80% as good....All i can say - good bass response, clear mids/highs - just overall excellent value for money - you cany go wrong.

on a serious budget? as long as you don't have high expectations and/or don't use these for serious engineering/mixing, you will be satisfied. they definitely get the job done with a nice touch. this seems to be a good studio monitor for the project studio on a budget looking to upgrade from more "consumer"/"pro-sumer" level speaker products. ...if you experience it, the radio interference is a serious, serious let down. renders them pretty much useless, and you will find yourself quickly utilizing the re-seller's 30-day guarantee.

Well here is the deal with my Truth monitors. I have 3 of them one has a blown amp that I bought from some guy for $30. The sub and the tweeters are worth more than that alone. So now I have parts. I did manage to blow the tweeter dont know how but they are toast. I put set of jbl tweeters in them and brought them to life. The amplifiers are strong and acurate to me. I was thinking of taking the amps and connecting them to Tannoys PBM 8's. It will take a lil modifying but thats no biggy. The sound they produce are smooth clean and accrate but I wonder what they will sound like with some real speakers?

I bought them based on price and the recommendation of my longtime good friend at the store whom I trust. I have a small home studio and use them with a Digidesign Mbox off a Mac G4 running Pro Tools.

I reference them against a pair of JBL L-100s that I know very well, a pair of Infinity Qa's, and the Infinity system in my Chrysler T&C minivan. My bud has a pair of Alesis M1s, and the Truths come off very honest against them all.

When I got them initially, one low driver had a rattle triggered from low bass guitar notes. The store got me a replacement matched pair with no complaints, and I've had none since in the nearly 2 years since.

Sure, there are finer, and "nicer-sounding" monitors, but the built-in amps have allowed Behringer to make a product that is really honest, and that's exactly what I need. They are remarkably uncolored and transparent for the price paid, and I can depend on them to let me know what I'm doing.

As far as I know, there's not a comparable value in their price range.
