Mackie boards are and have always been one of the most reliable consoles out there.I use a CFX12 that has gained the nickname "the black box" you cant destroy these things!I've used Behringer and that Alesis crap too none of that shit measures up. Dont get me wrong it's not Neve quality but for a little bit of nothin you get a board that lasts a lifetime with immeasurable clarity.I bought my CFX a couple years ago from a garage speed band all bruised and tatted up after I replaced the 3prong cord I haven't had one problem with my board.Until I can afford to go fully digital ( MackieDigital8 bus w/Viewsonic monitor) im keeping the CFX. The good news is that you dont have spend all of your money on a new one because you can find used ones rather cheap.ALWAYS BUY QUALITY! im out....@mosphere

The CFX12 is a crystal clear sounding work horse, very suitable for small bands. The on board effects processor features 32-bit processing power, for great sounding effects. It is also equipped with phantom power for high quality condenser mic's. I personally own the cfx 12, and it really did exceed my expectations. Gianni
