How anyone could give the Mbox a negative review for the price is insane. You get a great audio interface, Pro Tools software and now the updated plug in package with Amplitude LE, T-racks EQ, Sampletank LE and Live Digi Edition. What more do you want?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I own ed the Digi 002 before my MBox purchase and had to sell the 002 because I am moving to Australia for a year for Audio Engineering school. So, I do know that the 002 sounds a bit better, but for my needs right now, with alittle bit of mastering tricks, the MBox does the trick just right.

How the hell the Focusrite pre's are giving you a pro-tone to your Triton Studio is beyond my understanding, as the Triton has only line outputs. Anyway... Go for Digi001 or the new Digi002 rack. The M-box drivers suck, and the USB is not yet prepared for pro audio. Maybe USB 2.0. However if you can live with that it's an excelent purchase. I personally can't.

Whoa Tommy. Just calm down there. The MBox is only $400 now. If you can't afford that for something so important as recording, than you shouldn't be in this business in the first place. Think about it, other sound cards come bundled with.... absolutly NOTHING. The MBox and all Digi gear ALWAYS comes with Pro Tools and usually a bunch of plug ins worth hundreds. It is SOOO well worth the $400 I spent on this box. It is honestly worth it alone for the Focusrite Pre's. They sound so damn good and they just give my Triton Studio such a professional tone to the sound. All of my editing, mastering, recording, and now a bit of arranging is done in Pro Tools... It isn't the industry standard for no reason here folks. Oh, and did I mention that I can burn my sessions onto a CD from my measly 10 grand home studio and bring my work into a $200,000 + studio to finalize the package. That means... LE is totaly compatible with the pro versions of PT. I could go on for hours why this box is worth a mere $400.
