Have used the unit for several years as the front end for ProTools with a Mix Plus system. Only problems occur when system is improperly synced. We all know Roland converters, so it is nice to have 20 for the front end.

Used one for over 2 years.... the interface is cumbersome and they are totally non-standard to the industry..... Once you work past the quirks it is not a bad setup so if you can get one cheap by all means do so....

Word of caution - do NOT try to use more than one RPC card in a computer.... you will have no end of problems.... The manual claims that you can use up to three but NOBODY has had success with working past the sync issues between cards and roland fails to accept that the cards are garbage (my experience has proven time and again that the customer is always wrong to roland).... As soon as i ditched my rpc's and bought the dif/at boxes and used a MOTU box to get into the computer I finally unlocked the power of this console and was able to do some serious work.... A few tracks we vocalled on this board have been top 10 singles in the UK....

I am considering the VM7200 as the front end to my DAW. I am having trouble finding a complete system:( If you wish to use two boards (dual 7200's) do you need 2 rpc cards to get the sound into the pc or just the one card? If you can help me please email to mrbeefy4202002@yahoo.com thank you.

This is the most practical and professional quality dig. console I saw in the market for the price. I had to dedicate a couple of days to learn it well so I could take advantage of all its functions and it paid at the end. It has the features of ridiculous-expensive brands. I work with named artists and, believe me, what counts at the end is the final product, not the console you mixed it in. For me, this was the buy of the year and I bought two of them.
