I used it with a g4 466mhz system and many times the system runsout of cpu cycles.maybe a system lack.Anyway the card/rack is great but no windows XP pro or Windows 2000 pro driver or application support!I will not spen $600 on a card/rack to have to use macOS 9 or windows 98!Both OSes are slow and unstable and do not support multitasking so well. The newer versions work with X and XP alike so that would be what I would buy!5 out of 10 due to computer OS limitations, great hardware in it of itself though!

I have been using the 001 for three years with great results!!! I am running it on xp with a dual pentiumIII processor. I have no problems mixing 32 tracks at 24 bit with a dozen plugins opened. As for the two preamps they sound good enough but, I track most of my stuff through a focusrite octopre directly into the digi001 via the optical input on the pci card. I have recorded 16 tracks at once many times with great ease and very little stress on my pc. I haved used the motu828 and cubase but I have to say for me the 001 is the most easy to use and rock solid DAW for its price out there. with the exception of its midi features, The 001 is a great deal!!!

No, its not can record 8 analog plus 8 digital at the same time. Guaranteed as I did it many times with my B&W G3 at 350Mhz (with a SCSI LVD160 HD).

I was hoping to get a 2-channel and an 8-channel A/D converter and record 18 channels at once (400MHz G4 permitting). Someone who seemed knowledgeable told me it was either analog or digital inputs, not both. I can arm 18 tracks in ProTools, but without the hardware I can't test it. Is he right?
