I'am Using the 2004a for a drum4. Good stuff for a nice price. More groups would be nice however.

The headphone out is'nt good (clipping at higher output volume). It did blow up my sehnheiser.

I just replace my Mackie 1202vlz with the Behringer 2004a. As far as sound quality: It is very quiet. It sounds a bit warmer than the 1202 but the highend is not as bright as the mackie, but can be fixed with minor eq adjustments. I think they are pretty much the same in quality.

I don't really like the silver finish but it matches my triton nicely.

I would recommend it to anyone thinking of buying a mackie 1404vlz

I've owned this mixer for over a year and use it in a home studio setting. Basically it's a decent budget mixer and no more. The mic preamps are pretty bad. I am actually getting a new mixer because of them. I get a very low but noticeable 50hz hum through my Mackie HR824 monitor when hooked up to control out. The headphone jack is way underpowered.

Overall this unit is OK for line level sources at moderate volumes. If your an audiophile it will dissapoint

Is it worth getting the Tascam TM-D1000 over a Behringer MX2004A with a Behringer EX3200?!?!?!? someone please give me some professional advise no rookie advise! I personally didn't find the Tascam TM-D1000 interface difficult I was scrolling thru menu's like I have had the mixers for years, maybe because I'm a digital freak. But I can't make up my mind over the Tascam TM-D1000 or the Behringer MX2004A with a Behringer EX3200 Ultrafex?! someone respond as soon as possible!

I have one. I loves it so so much. It looks very space age with the grey silver color scheme. Using this mixer, I've saved lives, made people fall in love, and made a small fortune. The ideal mixer if you have a wall of keyboards with many stereo and six output kind of features.
