This thing is the shizznit... Really strange and cool sounds. A totally different synth for those who are tired of the same. Cool to take to the park and on the train. Gotta go make some sound n ow

I just got mine today. Yay! Cheap and cheerful is the best way I can describe it.

Basically you get three sound generators: the 'softsynth', which can use various waveforms built into memory, and can be messed around using a crude volume envelope, some FM, and a pitch envelope. The second is the square wave generator, which can be used for PWM type sounds, and a noise generator, which can be filtered, using the program's quirky algorithms.

As a sequencer, it's really unique...Basically you have a 4x4 grid of boxes, which represent the 16 steps in a pattern, which the program continually runs through. The notes and other information are displayed as dots and bars in these boxes. Once you get used to it, it's really quite fun.

I'm going to have lots of fun with mine, and it seems to be good enough as a sketchpad, as well as making some quirky loops...A QY70 it ain't, but it's far cheaper than that.

Evidently the Nanoloop guys had no idea how popular their program is...there's going to be another run of cartridges in a couple of weeks, so hang tough.

I got my hands on the Nanoloop v1.0 and IT ROCKS. I only have the gameboy pocket, but with the right equilizer and preamp, im ready to kick some ass! I have the game link, and my partner in crime has a nanoloop as well... We will probably construct one of those MIDI links for the nanoloop as well. new tracks coming soon on:
