Man! The U87 rocks! I have over 30 mics in my studio and there are three that get most of the use. My U87 is one of them (the others are the SM57 and a Charter Oak SA538 tube condenser). It works on most anything.

This Mic is perfect. It fits for nearly everything. The Sound is clear, warm and precise. Althoug there might be for special occasions other mics wihich do a better job, if you are looking for one mic for all, try the U87. It´s not cheap, but it´s worth every penny.
