I think Fruity Loops makes it very easy, for those who want to get started in making music. But still I agree it is only okay for Techno. The sounds are to synthetic afterall, for other music. BUT I LOOOVE IT!!!!!!!!

As a tool to learn how to use sequencer it worth a 10/10. This is a perfect tool for newcomer in electronic music : easy to use and quiet comprehensive.
As loop creator is worth a big 7/10. I've spend some time in studio, and FL is ok in compare to expensive and powerfull software and harware. Overall dynaminc may be a little bit confuse, but plugg-ins an FL features make it rock.
As a sequencer, a synth forget it : 3/10. No way you can do a nice tune out of it. (apart from techno music, maybe)
Jus a reminder : FL is design for electronic music. Don't expect much more...
I use it to create drumloop and then import them in cubase (still waiting for the rewire compatibility)

Love it.. though am having troubles coming up with that 'final mix'. Any suggestions from producers out there of how to refine that final mix? Are there any 'mixer' sytle pluggins out there that could do the trick? All in all, the more i learn about FLoops the better it gets!
